NZ Pacific Youth Salsa Congress

The NZ Pacific Youth Salsa Congress is back in 2011. Celebrating its 5th year. The Youth Congress prides itself in being one of the top youth salsa events in the world. The NZ Youth Salsa Congress was founded and created by Stayz Te Atamira Raukawa - known to his many students as “Mr Stayz” who has been the coach of the NZ Youth Salsa Team since 2005, he was the 2006 NZ Professional Salsa Champion, and is an International Salsa judge, teacher, performer and promoter.

Stayz has taken the NZ Salsa Kids around the world to such places as Beijing China, New York, Tokyo Japan, Los Angeles, Singapore and Australia where they have performed and won the hearts of thousands.

The NZ Pacific Youth Salsa Congress once again looks forward to bringing an amazing three days, and three nights of fun, dazzling salsa dance parties, shows, international performances, youth salsa team competition, International Salsa Instructors and much much more. In the last three years the kids that attended have had workshops with Vivo & Greydis, Cuban Groove, Jamie and Liz LDA - Australia , Olive and Luda the Five times World Salsa Champions, Lectures with salsa greats such as Mr Albert Torres the godfather of world salsa, Victor & Brujur of Hache Machete - Boston and Ryoko & Ryu of Wasabe - Japan, Edwin Rivera - Heartbreak Boys New York.

2011 is shaping up to be an amazing Youth Congress with workshops with some of the international instructors coming.
